Her story: 

She traveled all the way from Lincoln, Nebraska, in hopes of pursuing her dreams; as an actress, model, singer, or dancer. She wanted to be somebody, anybody. Every modeling agency and every casting Director told her she needed to lose 30 pounds, if she ever wanted to be considered as a leading lady. So she did. They told her she needed to cut and dye her hair. So she did. They told her she needed to change her style completely. So she did. They told her no one would look her way if she didn’t wear makeup morning and night. And so she opened a credit card at Sephora. She “fixed” her nose and blew up her lips until before she knew it, she no longer recognized her self. She was the shell of a girl that used to be a dreamer. She was a girl who was trying to catch up to a flock of females who were racing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of success. Was it success or validation from the shitty casting agencies that they were chasing? Social media likes and follows? Maybe. Never landing a role in a movie or posing for the front page of a magazine, she pranced around LA for 3 and half years becoming a person she wasn’t. Empty and unfulfilled, she took her self back to her hometown where now no one recognized her. She never got to say “bye Hollywood” and she never will, as it is now the gravesite of the old her. One of many, a Stargirl.
